Teal + Copper Bathroom Reveal Photos

When my husband Lane and I first moved into our house, the upstairs bathroom was *rough*. We purchased a 1979 fixer upper in 2018 that was in desperate need of some love. The upstairs bathroom, with its outdated heavy drywall texture, red painted walls, a blue bathtub, and dysfunctional vanity, presented me with the perfect opportunity to unleash my creativity and rebuild the space from scratch. Unfortunately, when we first moved in we didn’t have the budget for a full bathroom renovation… So, we did some minor projects to make it livable until we had the budget to do the full thing! After living with the bathroom for 5 years, we were finally ready to build the bathroom of our dreams.

One of the main reasons for undertaking this renovation was the dysfunctional state of the old bathroom…The vanity didn’t have working drawers, the bathtub leaked, and there was no storage. I wanted to create a space that was not only visually appealing but also highly functional. To achieve this, I opted for a smaller tub to fit a linen cabinet, and a vanity that actually had working drawers!!! Wooohooo! They say the devil is in the details and I couldn’t agree more. From the teal tile, copper fixtures and intentionally chosen gallery wall, a lot of thought went into each detail. I’m proud to say I built this!
